Thanks guys for your help...we are still trying to mediate things. She does seem to respect us but your right just wants to dominate our husky Oakley. We try to set up situations like the bed etc. so we can correct but Oakley is to afraid to even come in the room....Sydney the ACD seems to have really got her bluff in quick. We took her to agility class once and she went after a Collie and Boxer.....both were females. I have read and been told that this is especially a problem in ACD's. We had Sydney spayed Friday and Oakley seemed to understand that she was down...acted normal around the house...but Saturday Sydney was back to her old self and Oakely retreated again. It is interesting to watch the behaviors but heart breaking at the same time. Thanks again for your help.

We have rescued a ACD that was dumped in the country. We did as much reasearch as we could while she was in the burn pile on my parents land. She would not come out for a week..was on her own for a total of 3 weeks at 4 months of age. Once she was out she was fully vetted ...only worms which we treated. She is very sweet and obedient to my husband and I...we have had her for almost 2 months now. However things are not going so well with our 3 year old extremely balanced Siberian Husky. Sydney the ACD has attacked her several times over, toys, sleeping spot on the bed, etc. Are all ACD this dominant toward each other? They are both females which I have read is particular hard to deal with in this breed. Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated. Will her aggression towards our Husky calm with age? If we can not calm and elminate the fighting we are going to have to find her a more sutiable home...which just breaks our hearts. However our husky is very uneasy and not acting like her self either. The seem to have claimed different rooms. But for the ones still up for grabs or new things they have created fights are occuring nightly. I am in agility and obedience with the husky so I know the basics of dog behavior ....but I have to say the ACD seems be a whole different breed. Thanks in advance for you help.

I heard of this kind angel that is taking care of one of our own and had to stop in and say "Thank you". She is beautiful and obviously loves you and your little one. You are and angel, who says one person cant make a difference you sure have made a huge difference in her life. She looks so happy in the pictures and that is all because of your courage and willingness to help. Sometimes people only see the beauty in huskys and assume they are tough and can be just left alone. They are very loving and need the attention of there pack, or they can become very depressed. Bless you, if we can help please p-mail us. Arwoo woo wo
