Mom and I are so grateful for the posts and the kind thoughts....it's hard enough as it is...it would have been so much tougher without the support.

I think I'm going to have as many treats as I want this week. Mom is crying a lot but all the pmails and rosettes and thoughts help. We love you all...our hearts thank you.

Then she had bad dreams all night about bad things happening to me and my sister Mamie. The trailers are misleading, I think. It was very much a struggle for Mom to watch.

You are the first dog we had in our corral (Lyle was second), and we read all of your diary entries.
I can't say anything more eloquent than the other pups and humans have expressed. Only that you were and always will be the heart and soul of Dogster.
Mike, Robin and Lyle, my sincerests condolences.
Little Bit, please stop and say hello to Benny, my brother at the bridge. He'd enjoy sharing a blizzard or two with you.

Many traditions (not just Catholic or Christian) repsect his memory. Here is a prayer to St. Francis said for sick animals. You can substitute words/dieties-etc. to suit your beliefs or values, but I do think it is a lovely prayer. I will post this for Bandit and for Little Bit.
Blessed are you, Lord God, maker of all living creatures. You called forth fish in the sea, birds in the air and animals on the land. You inspired St. Francis to call all of them his brothers and sisters. We ask you to bless Little Bit and Bandit. By the power of your love, enable them to live according to your plan. May we always praise you for all your beauty in creation. Blessed are you, Lord our God, in all your creatures! Amen | | | | |
