Also, plain rice cakes are a good low cal treat that the vet recommended feeding Mav's when we were trying to become not so much of a chunky monkey! We would also go for a walk first thing in the morning to boost his metabolism for the rest of the day. It will take time for their tummies to shrink and get used to the smaller amount of food coming in but, just be patient and stick with it!
Keep up the good work! | | | | |

She also gives us the Nutro crunchy treats in the apple and blueberry flavor. They have carrot but we prefer the blueberry and apple! Sometimes we get green beans just to help us feel more full but, that was when we were trying to lose a bit of weight!

My Mav's is getting old (he will be 15 this year) and the vet didn't recommend a high protein percentage in his food because of kidney issues yet wants to limit grain. Unfortunately kidney problems are very common in senior dogs so I'm hoping he will do great on this one because he also has some skin allergies.

Mom says sometimes I'll get a wild hair and pick up a toy and do the zoomies around the living room but, am not toy obsessive like some of the other dogs we've met at the dog park!
