Grooming > What do you pups think of this?

| Barked: Wed May 15, '13 11:27pm PST | | | | | As a groomer currently studying safe creative grooming, I think it boils down to 'are the products safe?" If they are, then its just personal preference. You can do tattoos like that with stencils and even food coloring. They don't need to be toxic products. But each to their own | | | | |

Grooming > That new non-toxic dye specifically for dogs?

Never ever bleach a dogs fur or use any oxidizing dyes or anything that requires a developer. Only use true semi-permanent dyes like manic panic for example.

Pomeranian > Confused about "triplecoat" Pom being legit? It is.

I have groomed ALOT of double coated breeds and some dogs just have thicker undercoats than others. Or its usually a build up of dead hair that makes it difficult to brush through.

Grooming > Chunkers?
Skyline

|
| Barked: Mon Nov 26, '12 10:10am PST | | | | | Hello
I completely get your confusion, when I was taught to groom we always used 46 tooth thinning shears, never anything less. After I finished my apprenticeship, I heard about "chunkers" too. To the best of my knowledge, Chunkers are used for texturizing. The less teeth and bigger gap between, the more exaggerated the "chunk" is.
I personally have never tried them, I may one day, but for now I'm content with my thinning shears. Hope that helps a little, maybe a groomer here that uses them will come along with more information

Pomeranian > How much energy for a 4-year-old?
Skyline

|
| Barked: Mon Nov 26, '12 9:42am PST | | | | | Skyline just turned 4yrs old today. Since she was 2yrs old she has always acted like she was an old girl. She rarely plays with toys or chews. She does however love hiking and jogging. And rarely she will instigate play with Artemis, but other than that shes just content to lay around. | | | | |
