Dogs & Travel > soft kennel recommendations

I'm trying to find my boy a travel/soft kennel/crate. its so hard to determine if one is any good over product descriptions. Any recommendations? He's 55 lbs. I'm looking for one with easy set up. I have one now with detectable poles that u need to take in and out for set up and its just a pain. Perfer smaller "windows" or one with window/side covers. Of course needs to be affordable (I'm broke, lol) and durable. Any suggestions?

Food & Nutrition > suggestion for food for food allergies

Thanks for the replies. I don't believe she had a food allergy. Shes not itching, licking, biting, chewing, scratching. She does have seasonal pollen/ grass allergies which caused a staph infection back in August that she is still fighting. The vet is determine she must have food allergies since it is not going away. I did hear they can suffer allergies with no side effects (which makes no sense) or I would not believe it. Looking at natural balance and taste of the wild. both are more than i want to spend but i'll survive i guess. I also have a dog with a sensitive stomach who has done great on chicken soup. I'm not happy about switching foods at all.

Hi, my vet is having me switch my dogs food to rule out food allergies. Currently she's on chicken soup for the adult dog lovers soul. I'm looking for something around the same quaility and price. Vet say to look for something lamb based without grains. Could one please make a suggestion?

Hi,

We have been doing agility for 11 months now and Jacy is going to her first big trial tomorrow!! But we are not competeing, only in the fun match before the trial. Should be great experience nevertheless for both of us. My question is there is tons of stuff to that I still don't know. Such as what does all the different types of matches and titles mean and involde? What is allowed and not allowed on the course? I just found out last week spinning after a rear cross is considered a refusal or was it off course, I had no idea. I would really like to pick up some kind of book on all of this. Could anyone suggest one?

ooohh I do like Pets Best. Do you know if they increase rates due to a pet's aging?

Pet first is awesome because the pets share a pool of coverage. The preferred plan is $12,000. I'm very sure its possibly but I don't see both dogs costing me that much in one year. I really hope not. As far as I read they don't increase rates for aging and they don't discriminate against breeds. That I am able to tell at least. You can customize the plans to take off the routine care or you get $250.00 per pet per year. As you can tell I'm really leaning towards them. Has any one had any experience with them?

After experiencing still increasing vet cost with my cat, I've decided to get a insurance plan for the two dogs. And the cat if she survives cry
Does any one have any recommendations for what company to go with? Obviously we want a good coverage for a good price. I dont care so much about continuous coverage for conditions but I do want something that will cover cancer costs. If it covers shots and other regular vet costs than awesome but not a requirement.
I was looking at FirstPet because I really like their family plan. But I noticed they raised than prices from last time I looked and not too please about that. I was also looking at PetPlan which doesn't seem too expensive for decent coverage. But I want to shop around some more before committing.

When I was younger I rollerbladed with a previous dog, never had a problem at all. I even did it with 2 dogs with no problems besides what was mentioned, the stopping. I tried it once with Karu, we went at a slow pace and worked great for the first 2 blocks then he cut in front of me... the result was a broken arm and lots of medical bills. I never touched the things again. I said if you were going to do it make sure your dog knows to stay on one side of you.

I also biked with the previous dog with no problems.

Remmy, that is what I am trying to find out also. Jacy will not crouch, lay down, sit, or anything. She stands there stiff legged at the end. Shes not a heavy dog, under 30lbs.

Shes fine with walking the teeter and riding the teeter down w/ someone guilding it down of course. Shes just not thrilled about being 4 ft in the air on an incline on a plank and being asked to lay down. Shes giving me this look like "Are you crazy?!?!?" They tryed putting the teeter straight and the baby teeter but I think by then the damage was done and she just was not gonna do it.
Thinking I need a trip to the hardware store to buy a plank.

As far as the pivot point, they said she would have to find it on her own and said she was doing a good job at it. If I can't get her to lay down, they would teach her to do it that way.

She is fine with the contacts.
