Uhm...What? I- don't get it..

I will not be getting another dog, for awhile, at least until my beloved Angel crosses over the bridge. Which hopefully is not for many moons.
I have been thinking about what my next dog will be, more than likely I will not be going through a breeder. Probably a breed based rescue or shelter.
However, I cannot decide on what breed I would like to accompany in to my life next. I have a few in mind, but wanted to see what you all thought.

What I would like in my next dog, as far as characteristics go:

-Trainable, can deal with mild stubbornness but not excessive.

-Size I have no preference with so long as the dog is able to keep up with my big dogs.

-Grooming is not an issue, although I would much rather have a dog that I can brush myself and call it good.

-Energy. I don't want a dog that is always bouncing off the walls. I would like a dog that can keep up with one/two walks a day, running around outside, but be able to have on off switch when inside.

-Not excessively vocal.

-Am not big in to the common family breeds, although chocolate labs are very striking. Would much rather owner a less common breed though.

If you have any other questions, please ask, and I will clarify. Does anyone have any thoughts as far as breeds go?

I would have to agree that a Red Doberman, may be a good fit or the Vizla.

Does she want a dog that is constantly on the go, as far energy level, or one that has an off-switch?

Can she handle bringing the dog to the groomers, if she does not like the shedding?

I think the name "Inka" would suit him well or "Duke". Due to his merle coloration could name him "Camo" which could be short for Camelot. Whatever, you decide to name him, he sure is a handsome little boy!
