German Shepherd > Need some suggestions or advice
Alexander

Buster's baby- brother!

Alexander is a GREAT dog, but recently he's been doing something that has my husband at his wits end.

Alexander sleeps on the bed with us. At times during the night he'll get off the bed, lay on the floor, go into the bathroom or the living room. When my husband gets up, Alexander jumps back in bed and goes back to sleep. What's been happening the last couple of weeks now is. . . . .when my husband approaches the bed to wake me or make sure I'm awake, Alexander jumps up, jumps on ME, and barks at my husband. It's not a mean bark - it's more of a high pitched warning bark. But, he ALWAYS jumps on top of me --- as if he's protecting me -- and then barks at my husband.

As I said, my husband is ticked off about this, and I'm not sure why he'd all of a sudden start doing this.

Any advice? Suggestions?

Thanks.

Hi, this is "Poop Eating Alexander." He ONLY eats his Basset Hound brothers poop. And no MATTER what I do, he won't stop!! ARGH So nasty! But, apparently he seems to like it!

Anyone familiar? The vet would like me to think about getting Alexander on this supplement. We're again having "joint" issues.

Thinking of getting another GSD. We already have Alexander and our Basset Buster. Should we let the puppy dogs out number the humans? Wondering if it'll be too much, or if 1 more really is that much different?

Alexander is almost 2, the Basset is 3.

Thoughts?

When Alexander was a puppy - 3-5 month, he grunted. His nickname was "Grunt-Grunt." It was the CUTEST sound. He usually did it when I picked him up, or was cuddling him. Unfortunately, he grew out of it.
