scotty~
sorry to hear about your circling. When I was about 13 years old, my pawrents think that I might have had a small strok or something that caused me to circle all the time. i was pretty much blind, deaf and had doggy alzheimers. It was very hard on my pawrents to see me like this but they loved me too much to put me down. i still ate fine, and never had accidents inside. later on around 15-16 years I started having problems getting up from the tile floors and would sometimes get stuck and then make a mess and smear it all over me and the floor. At that point in time, 16 years and 3 months i finally gave up my battle and so did they. My pawrents decided it was my time to go to the rainbow with all my other pup friends. I am so much happier now and do not have to burden them anymore. I know they say that I was never a burden but I know I was. My heart goes out to you pawrents. It is something they hate to do but sometimes it is for the best.cry

Puppy Place > Advice about puppy teeth?

I had the same problem...My top canine babies would not come out and the adults were coming in behind and lining up crooked so the vet yanked them out. Then two weeks later my lower canines had to be removed for same reason. the Vet said my canines were so huge that they would have never come out by themselves.puppy Mommy was happy to get them removed, so that my biting would not hurt as bad. BOL!!!

Wednesday, you are just a puppy and until all those puppy teeth come out you are going to bite anything and everything. the teeth that do the most damage is the fangs...Mommy was so thankful after I had to have my fangs removed then I could not bite as hard. I lost all my teeth by 6-7 months. i still like biting but it does not make the holes in everything. biting is just part of being a pup!snoopy

Woof Ruby~

I used to have seizures starting around the age of 8 months to a year and pretty much continued off and on the rest of my 16 years. the first time it happened I scared mommy to death. we were out walking and all the sudden my paws just went out from under me and my eyes rolled back and my head began swaying around in a circle motion. It did not last very long (seconds) but seemed like forever. She mentioned it to my vet and he too said that as long as they are not frequent, not to worry. My were not very frequent, maybe every other month if not longer times inbetween. Mommy just learned that when she saw one coming on just to sit by me and make sure i dont hurt myself. Luv that mommy of mine.snoopy

Woof Plumm!

Well, even though I was not a lakie and a welshie, I was pretty lucky in that I never had leg problems as I grew old. It sounds like your mommy is taking good care of you though. I think alll those nice rub downs makes all worth it instead of the icky meds....snoopy Hope you feel better.

You are a Boston terrier aren't you???? You said bulldog in your post but your page says terrier and you look like a boston terrier.
Well, if you are a boston terrier like your page says, you got a terrier and we are very strong willed. We like to do what we want and when we want too.big grin
Mommys first terrier(welsh terrier) the only thing he learned was lay down and sit. he would never stay if door was opened, or pretty much any other command. As for myself, I have been pretty good at learning things....I even stay when toldsnoopy this was a BIG surprise to mommy when she one day said stay as she walked out and I did....I also sit. As for, get down or lay down, it takes awhile for me to listen....especially at bedtime.puppy
Alll I can say is keep working with him/her and soon it will click.

I know how you feel...red face mommy spent many of days and nights telling me that if I wanted to go, that it was alright with them. Neither one of my pawrents wanted to be the BAD one to say, "it is time". I was 16 years by now, blind, deaf, had alzheimers and had a stroke 3 years prior making me favor my right side. the night before I went down, mommy made me my favorite, sausage links and cheese trying to intice me to eat something. I did eat! that evening and all the way through the night i was restless and paced the whole night and through to the next morning. I knew that if I stopped moving, that my heart would start building up fluid and probably fail. Mommy told daddy that morning that I had not layed down and slept or anything all night. they tried feeding me my sausage and i just looked away. I had no interest. they decided that it was probably my time now. I could not get up from the tile floors anymore, did not want to eat and would not use the bathroom. after a couple of hours at home with them, they decided to take me in to see Dr. M... He had told my pawrents that he would check me over and if there was anything that could be done that he would do it. As my pawrents brought me in, I knew where I was and I knew it was time. I just came in and laid down on the cool tile floor and finally RELAXED, after over 24 hours of pacing... Dr. M checked me over and said that it was my time. Mommy and daddy cried and Dr. M administered the meds and i was off. Dr. M left the room and gave my pawrents some alone time with me. daddy cut off some of my hair to put in my scrapbook, they kissed me and said their goodbyes.red face
My pawrents know deep down in their hearts that it was my time and that i am in a better place now. They had me cremated and I now sit in a special place in my home watching over them and their new pesklely pooch. I hear mommy talking to me everyday letting me know how much she loved me.
It is hard but Life has to go on....
Mommy posted a little poem (on my page) that she found that she has hanging next to her desk at the office to remind her of her times with me....puppy
Your the best mommy! I woof yousnoopy

Sooo funny!
well let me tell you from mommys past experience and now her present experience from me. her late dog Ranger started out his life with the normal terrier (flap over ears) and then about 4-6 months of age one ear decided to go up and was like that for awhile and then one day the other ear went up! Why they ask? who knows. Daddy tried tiny fishing weights on them like ear rings but all I did was ding myself in the head when I shook back and forth. He tried gluing and that did not work either. Mommy did not go for any of these ideas. Ranger spent the rest of his life with satalite ears and we loved just as much. As for me, my ears were perfect, down like supposed to until now....I have one ear right now that prefers to be up. Sometimes it will fall down but not for long. Daddy thinks that mommy is doing something to us to make our ears go up, since it happened to Ranger and now me....I know it is not her because I just want to be a silly, willy, dilly dog.snoopy
