Jack--Wacko Jacko is an absolute sweetheart of a dog. He loooooves attention and can't get enough of it. He listens extremely well and isn't too energetic for an aussie.
Tank--Forever my lil' baby puppy. He loves everyone and has a spunky personality about him that just makes you laugh constantly. He's calm in the house and is extremely smart, a quick learner.
What I love about them all--Their energies all sync together well and none of them are too much for me to handle. They have their individual personalities that make them oh-so-lovable. I was actually offered money for all of them on separate occasions, but turned them down as my babies are priceless!

Choosing the Right Dog > What attributes do you look for in a dog?

Trainability is a factor, and I also don't like dogs that never settle down. I had a border collie foster for a while, and he was NUTS. He sure showed me that I like calmer dogs. While I like them to be submissive, I also like one that's confident enough to be around strangers without freaking out.

1. He loves me for who I am and not for any superficial reasons.
2. He's got spunk and a big personality.
3. He's just so dang handsome!
4. He makes me laugh every day.
5. If he were a human, he'd be my soulmate!
You're my best friend, and I LOVE YOU, Tank!

Grooming > Anyone use PetSmart for grooming?

| Barked: Sun Jan 25, '09 6:22pm PST | | | | | Tankey's first experience with a groomer was at PetSmart. NEVER AGAIN. The lady was rude and very impatient with me because this was my first time with a long haired dog. I'm not saying all PetSmarts are like this, but my particular PS was crappy.
Now I just do Tank's grooming at home.

Out of curiousity, how fast does your hair grow? I'm a Shih Tzu mix, but mine grows very slowly.
My hair is shaggy and wirey like yours, but hasn't gotten much longer than what it is now, even with a year break between haircuts. Might be different from you, who knows? Only time will tell.

Choosing the Right Dog > What Do Your Breed Choices Say About You?
Tank
Mars is covered- in BBQs! |
| Barked: Sun Jan 25, '09 1:08pm PST | | | | | I tend to like terriers, like Schnauzers and Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers. We think Tank has some in there somewhere as well. I like feisty breeds that have a good sense of humor... like myself. Herding breeds are right up there too. I'm a playful person that likes to exercise.
Good topic! Interesting responses.
