Behavior & Training > Ever wonder if your dog will protect you?

I'm a lover, not- a fighter! |

Rottweiler > HOME OWNER'S INSURANCE
C.J.
I'm a lover, not- a fighter! |
| Barked: Sun May 27, '12 4:53pm PST | | | | | We're buying a home in Southeastern PA and wondering what insurance company is best to go with. We have a Rottweiler...very sweet dog, never off leash outside of yard, never any complaints, always licensed, UTD on all immunizations, well behaved.
Is there an insurance company we should look at that doesn't discriminate against certain breeds?
Thanks. | | | | |

Rottweiler > 10yr old rottie with large mass behind stomach
C.J.
I'm a lover, not- a fighter! |
| Barked: Sun May 27, '12 4:51pm PST | | | | | I lost my first Rottie to CA. He was almost 3 weeks shy of his 10th birthday when he died. From the time he was diagnosed with cancer till the day he died, about 8 months, he was happy and really LIVED life. He had pain meds when he needed it, but that was all. His BAD time, at the end, lasted about 8-12 hours till we could get him to the vet to ease him out of this life.
The path you choose to take with your dog is entirely up to you. Good luck to you!

The Prairie Salmon is one of his favs!

Food & Nutrition > less poo on better food?
Angel Bubba- D.
Now known as- BUBBA D. //- Training is the |
| Barked: Sun May 30, '10 8:04am PST | | | | | Your dog will eat less quantity and poo less/smaller with a higher quality dog food. Why? The better the food, the more nutrients your dog's body utilizes, therefore, less poo, better health.
Lots of people see the prices of premium foods, such as Nature's Variety, and say "No way will I pay THAT much for DOG food!!", but the better the food, the healthier the dog, and that means less trips to the vet!
Bubba is 140+ pounds. He eats 1-1/2 cups of food twice a day as a maintenance diet. He is in excellent condition. His poo is smaller than the neighbor's 45 pound dog who eats whatever is on sale!

Behavior & Training > Why off-leash dog owners are looked down upon.

| Barked: Sun May 30, '10 7:56am PST | | | | | Bubba is extemely well trained and quite capable of being off-lead, however, there are leash laws we have to obey. Also, would I really want people freaking out over my loose 140+ pound Rottweiler??? I don't think so!
I agree with you that people are annoying with their off-lead dogs.

I wish I could have copies on hand to just hand out to people who automatically think that Bubs is a "killer"!
He's a wonderful dog, but does NOT take kindly to strangers getting too "personal" and "familiar" with him. I don't either!
