He might fill out a bit more, but he seems to have the Basset height, so I wouldn't expect him to reach 70 lbs.
He might even out to 60 by the time he's done filling out though. thinking

Dog Health > Slight limp?
Alice

Alice...in- Wonderland?

Barked: Wed May 23, '12 8:34am PST
Okay, so, we took Alice for a walk and this was the first time I noticed that Alice has a slight limp to her walk. When we got home we looked her over and there was no wounds, nothing stuck in her paw-pads, and no signs of injuries. She didn't seem to be in pain either.
She's 14 months and I'm worried that maybe she has some sort of dysplasia?
Thoughts on what it could be would be appreciated.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Maybe she is part Rott and it was poorly bred. thinking

Dog Health > Get dew claws removed?
Alice

Alice still has her front and back dewclaws because we couldn't afford to spay her AND remove them. Alice has double dewclaws on her back legs. It looks somewhat strange on her foot but it doesn't bother her.
I think you should remove the ones on your dog because it might get stuck in its fur. thinking

Thanks for the responses. I'm at least 90% sure she has GSD in her blood, but since you don't think she has Rott. Do you think she could have some Doberman? She does have very long legs. thinking

Alice- Well, my favorite movie is Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. So, I chose the name for her, and it fits!

Buttercup- Named after the Reese's peanut butter cups.

And Twinkie was already named when we got him from the shelter.

Hey guys! I've added a few pictures of Alice. She's now almost 13 months and I believe she's Rott/GSD.
What are your guesses? Do you guys still think that is what her mix is?
She probably is 70lbs or close to it. smile
