Anyways, I belong to a coOp, have a farmer/supplier and shop at both traditional and ethnic groceries. I spend on average $200 a month to feed three large dogs. I feed mostly red meat, with the majority of that being heart from various species. Raw Food Diet > Anyone here order regularly from MPC?

I have better sources for hearts, etc, but I do like to order organs from them, for species variety. Bison, ostrich, etc. A couple months ago, I was feeding ostrich liver for the first time. After their third meal with it (each getting 3-4 oz of ostrich liver per meal) all three came down with diarrhea. I can't truly blame the ostrich liver, but... I feed liver every other day, so it wasn't three successive days. I freeze any wild game for three weeks to be safe, though most wild game I get has already been frozen for much longer. As far as cuts, you can feed about anything. Offer her the neck, see if she can work on it before you go about bashing it.
