Hey gotta share this with you -
Went to the vet yesterday afternoon for my booster and a nail trim - Katie too. So mom decided that since this vet puts a muzzle on me for the pedicure part, that she'd have me wear my ThunderShirt and see if it helped. Dr. Browning just took his time and I did OK with him. But every vet is a little different and mom knows they just didn't want a bite.

Well guess what? The vet wanted to know about the Thunder shirt too and was willing to have the tech hold me so I could see mom and she could watch my face and let them know if I was getting upset. I did awesome! the last two nails I was getting a little tired of the whole thing, but I didn't growl or snap or bite! The vet was impressed and said she was very happy to know how good they worked because other pawrents had asked her about they and she knew nothing about them.

So it was a good thing all the way around! And now I have nicely trimmed nails!

Thanks for sharing your story!! Halo does really well with hers too. I want one! I got scared at the vets office and pooped again. My mom thinks it will help me be less nervous. I'm too big to fit in Halo's. My dad thinks they are too expensive. My mom will have to put aside a secret stash for me to get one.

Very good to know! Thank you for sharing. Mom used to say they cost too much too but now that she sees how stressed I get about stuff (going to the vet, going out of the yard, etc...) it seems like a small price considering how much longer I'm going to live. let's see... if I live to be 15- i'm already 3, that's 12 years... so that's really only... thinkingthinking a little over $3/year!

ha ha Penny a day! hail

We've had them for several years now and really are SO worth every dime.
Do a search - maybe Amazon or EBay will have them cheaper? We had to pay $50 each for ours - I know a lot. Maybe they've come down now?

when i looked, it seemed like they were all about $40. If you order from their site, it's even got free shipping! If you get the fancy colors, I think it's a little more... I don't understand though why it's not priced by size... one my size is going to take a whole lot less material than one for a german shepherd.... shrug

It really doesn't seem fair that all sizes are priced the same.We find that happens sometimes. All of us are small, but if we had a large dog, maybe sometimes it would work to our advantage sometimes.

We searched for them on EBay yesterday - you can get them for around $33 on there. Some were less, but may have been "gently" used ones.
