SHELTER- DOGS- ROCK!

	Cosmo could use some PoP. Yesterday he went in for his routine senior check up. He has been doing extremely well, full of energy, eating well and moving justlike a young dog. But our vet found a big swelling or growth in his neck. It runs along the right side for about four inches. It was not there at his last check up six months ago and I never noticed it, nor did the groomer. He had complete bloodwork immediately and the results are all in the normal range, including his thyroid. So tomorrow he will have an ultrasound and the growth will be aspirated so that pathologies can be done. I have been worried, but Cosmo is totally unaware and feeling great. But I think Power of the Paw would be a help to us all.

	So very sad to report that Cosmo has a very large and aggressive carcinoma. It's thyroid cancer and I will have more information on Monday. It does not look operable and I don't know yet what treatment might be available and what it can accomplish. I am heart broken. Cosmo is still feeling fine and active.
