 | | | | Not really. The groomer will use both to do the dogs hair right. The use clippers on Andy and DeeJay's belly, rear and paws. The rest is done with different types on items. One of the things they use is a detangle razor. I got one of these at wal-mart to keep our dogs in shape. Morkies will tend to mat a bit because of the long hair and the razor keeps them in shape. It is safe and will not harm the dog, You just pull it through the hair where there is a problem. Our dogs also get a bath every two weeks unless they get real dirty. Then they get it when they need it. Ask your Vet who they think is a good groomer, we did this and we got a real good one. Also find a picture of a cut you like and take it with you to the groomer. That kind of gives them a guide as to what you want. Look around on dogster and find a dog that has a cut you like and print out the picture for your groomer. Our groomer has a computer that they can go to dogster and see the dog we are talking about. This is handy because the groomer can see many different angles of the dog and get your cut to match as close as possible. Puppy cuts work well for climates that are warm and not to hot. Of course the longer hair is best in the winter or in cold areas. | | | | |
