Start with the dry ingredients. Put the the oats and flour into a large bowl and mix well. Then add the oil and water, followed by the peanut butter. Mix well again.

Note: Dogs really love olive oil, and it's good for their coats. Use olive oil in place of vegetable oil if you like.

Now for the fun part. Transfer the dough to a large flat surface. Make sure to put down a light dusting of flour to keep the dough from sticking. Now, roll the dough out into a log, about 1 - 2 inches in thickness (you can divide the dough in 1/2 or quarters to make multiple smaller logs). Cover or wrap log(s)in plastic and place in the refrigerator. You will be cutting this 'log' into dog size snacks next.

Note: Alternately, form small dough balls with your hand, then flatten them in the palm of your hand to make a small dog 'biscuit'. Place on baking sheet.

One hour later, slice the log (roll) into pieces about 1/2 - 1 inch long. Bake in the oven at 300 degrees for about 45 minutes so they will set. Some light browning should occur. Let the doggie cookies cool, and treat your dog(s)!
