Here are dogs that are good with cats:

#212:
AWESOME, AWESOME DOG! She is shy at first but comes out of her shell quickly. She's solid! She's wiggly and happy to be with people. She loves being touched and the more time we spend with her, the more she solicits attention. She sat on our laps today and rolled over onto the floor while her butt was still on my lap. Very cute. Funny personality. Gorgeous coat (very shiny) and great muscle tone. Really motivated by treats. Such an amazing dog.

This boy is rather thin but has a large head. He is very sweet and, although a little bit timid, he is curious and wants to learn. He follows us every where. He solicits attention, has a great sit and loves to be touched. He couldn't get enough of back rubs today. He always looks happy with that huge smile! Before seizure, he was in an outdoor kennel with another male. He is very respectful of other dogs and takes cues from them. He's a sweet, gorgeous guy.

This poor is severely emaciated - thinner than he was prior to rescue. He looks slightly boxer to me in the above picture but did not when we saw him prior to seizure. Click the following link: http://www.canineadvocatesofohio.org/HumaneSanctuary/Enlarge ments/1.22.2010/40.htm. He's a wiggler, his tail never stops wagging and he absolutely loves people. He has a great sit and learns quickly with the clicker. I named him Toby. He's awesome. Great temperament. I was just told he has "resource guarding" issues with rawhides. When I tested him a month ago, he allowed me to take the marrow bone from his mouth so I'm not sure where they are seeing this but I'm trying to provide as much information as possible.

This boy is so awesome. He's fun, happy and makes everyone in his presence laugh. He absolutely loves the ball and he rolls on the floor with it in his mouth. He plays fetch. He loves giving kisses, loves being pet, cuddles very closely and is just a complete joy. He looks very sad in his cage but does a 180 when in the test room. He did great with dogs and cats. He has thicker hair than a full bred pit but looks very pitty most of the time. He's just such a love.

Here are great dogs that are not good with cats:

This girl is a breed ambassador. Always smiling and happy. She wiggles, never stops wagging her tail, enjoys life, loves cuddling and affection and is just everything a pit bull should be. She's petite and just awesome. We used her as our test dog with other dogs during our testing. She's awesome!!!! Obviously, she does not do well with cats, though.

Passion was chained on the property for 2 or 3 years prior to rescue. I was told that she was an owner surrender with her male companion when the city in which she and her family resided passed a ban on pit bull dogs. From that point on, she was chained with nothing to do but stand on a 3 foot chain in an outdoor kennel. You can see the pictures on her page. She always wants a toy in her mouth. Many at the warehouse say she's "crazy" but she's just in need of some time and compassion. We had her in the test room yesterday for four hours. At first, she just ran around the room with her ball. She would drop it and pick it up and then lay down on the floor to chew it. During this time, we can touch her but she didn't otherwise appear to notice us. After awhile, we saw her notice us and she learned "drop it," "down" and began responding to her name. She takes treats gently, enjoys touch and allows us to touch her every where. Although she is in her own world, she is solid and just with four hours of time out of the vari kennel, she came very far. This is why we believe she just needs a home that will give her time to come around. She has been so neglected and had nothing to do for so long but sit and go back in forth on the chain. Now she just needs time to get some energy out and be engaged. She's very motivated by the ball. She's a wonderful dog. Please, someone that has the space to just let her be, to let her come around, consider taking her.

No matter what she is, she is awesome. She was our test dog with many, many dogs. She did well with cats. She is great with people, loves to be touched, solicits attention, knows "sit," "down," "shake" and "roll over." She's smart and attentive. She loves being with people and is just a solid, well adjusted and well-behaved girl.

This boy is so sweet and gorgeous. He's a blond, fawnish color with a tinge of blue. He is timid but is solid. He allows touch every where and, after awhile, he even solicits affection. He is young and just needs some time to learn how to trust. He is so sweet and absolutely loves, loves, loves dogs.

This boy is small. He has an athletic build. He is so sweet and loves affection. He will play when we want to play but as soon as we stop, he stops and sits with us. He is such a well behaved boy. He does not look pittie in person but definitely looks terrierish. Because he's identified as a pit bull but is not, he's being passed over by those who want a pit bull and left by those who don't. He is so sweet and smart and is so happy out of his crate.

This boy is another dog identified as a pit bull but not a pit bull. He's so happy and trusting despite the hell he has experienced. He's smart and loves to play fetch. He loves affection, he loves to be rubbed on his ears and he loves people. He's polite of people and respectful of dogs. He wants out of his cage so badly. He's very nice and small and very agile. He's such a great dog.

This guy is now named "Brownie." The volunteers have been working hard with him and it shows. He's doing great. At first, when he was taken out of the warehouse into the test room, he would not walk upright and would stay as close to the ground as possible. The great thing is that no matter how scared he was, he wanted to be close to people. He laid as close to someone as possible and always had his head or foot or some body part on a person. Now, he's walking out of his cage when people are in the room. He's standing upright. He's eating out of his crate and he's walking to people. He's doing amazing!!! He was in an outdoor kennel with an intact male and a female prior to seizure. He has heartworm. The AWL mentioned their willingness to assist monetarily with heartworm treatment. Of course, this needs to be confirmed with them by any interested party.

Big, gorgeous dog! So beautiful. He is becoming more comfortable with touch and so happy around people. He is attentive and listens well. He enjoys chewing on rawhides and marrow bones. He is a great dog and needs some time to trust. He's a great boy.

And a few others on the site. Wouldn't you consider opening your hearts and adopting one of these sweet dogs?
