 | | Barked: Wed Dec 2, '09 8:33am PST | |  | |  | | It was a cold November day and I was wearing a wooly hat, and a feather vest. I was in a happy mood, so I got out my bagpipe and played them for a group of feisty old ladies. The old ladies smiled and clapped and cheered me on. Then a group of dancers came out and did the bunny hop, and then all of a sudden I saw an enormous creature! I hid behind the old ladies because I was scared, and suddenly one of the old ladies turned to me and said, very loudly, "I'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!!!!!"
So I began to wonder if the old ladies were witches and then one of the old ladies turned into a pretty angel, she was wearing a yellow polka dot bikini and was afraid to come out of the water so we all covered our eyes, then she spread her angel wings, flew up and said...The water is frigid, so I ran off quickly to get a warm blanket made of Icelandic wool and tossed it to her. She said..."Oh, thank you, I will warm up quickly now and be ready to roast marshmellows for the delicious dessert I'm preparing!"
I will start a fire with some kindling, a mixture of twigs, dried leaves and my yellow polka dot bikini.....
I began to take out the marshmellows, graham crackers and chocolate. When I heard shouts of approval resonating from the glee club… "SMORE FEST!" they chanted, do the Chicken Dance and collect a fee for every red feather that you catch. With a SMORE hanging from my mouth, I began to look for red feathers.
A gentle breeze lifted all the feathers off the leafy ground and a lavish entrance was revealed which led to into the forest of Haagen-Dazs where a white reindeer introduced herself as da empress of Umpah Padah, da magical land of marshmellows. The Empress curtseyed before me and I thought,"I hope that I can remember to not puke on her feet." I stared at the spectacular Raccoon Faux-Fur Mukluks she wore and her diamond tiara and matching earrings. And then I asked her, "Where did you get your wild outfit?" and she said, "at a boutique in Montreal, Canada!" The Empress called her travel agent to book us tickets on board The Empress of Umpah Padah.
Off we sailed to Canada to eat marshmellows and to go shopping for Racoon Faux-Fur gift sets. Imagine my surprise when we bumped into the feisty old ladies and the Glee Club, they were collecting matching Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls. That made me very curious, so I asked "why?" and they told me that they sell them on e-Bay. I thought to myself ...I wonder if the dolls will drown in the bay?
There was a big foofaraw between the Glee Club members, arguing whether pink plaid underwear would match their red feathered caps! They resolved the debate by taking off all of their clothes and put the underpants over their caps. They began a constructive dialogue on .....Edited by author Wed Dec 2, '09 8:35am PST
