I think all mommas (and grammas) are chocoholics!laugh out loud

I'm trying to remember exact numbers...thinkingthinkingthinking... I think the vet said that for a 10 pound dog, it would take 10 ounces of milk chocolate for it to be a worry, but only 2 ounces of dark chocolate. The scone that I ate had dark chocolate. When I'm naughty, I go all out!dancingred faceshrug

Oh, I'll check on those numbers, too. I don't want to be giving out false information!eek

Mom had an Aussie that ate a small box of Milk Duds, cardboard box and all.
She freaked and called the Vet school, since there was one where she lived at the time.
The fella on call said he'd have to eat about a pound of chocolate, didn't say the type and Seamus weighed about 55 lbs, before he'd get sick.
So I think your advice is probabaly pretty reliable , thank you Link!

Thanks for your vote of confidence, Trixie.big grin

Mom looked it up and here's what she found...
1 ounce per 1 pound of body weight for Milk chocolate
1 ounce per 3 pounds of body weight for Semisweet chocolate
1 ounce per 9 pounds of body weight for Baker's chocolate.

So, yup! I was right in there with my estimate. Figured I'd post the link to the source while I'm at it, in case anywoof wants to read up.
