In Delmar, MD, the Wicomico Humane Society was forced to take starving pit bulls from someones home. I have attached a picture of one of the dogs. Out of 19 puppies, only 4 survived. One momma dog was put to sleep because she was in such a terrible state. The Town of Delmar had told this man to put a fence around his dogs so nobody could see them. The dog's care were deteriorating at the time.

Maryland is another state that is known for dog fighting, its back in the woods but you here about it alot...i grew up in maryland before moving to florida and remember seeing battered pits at the humane society, its a sad but true reality!!!
