We're thinking making the picnic a potluck would be a lot of fun big grin

Do you have a special dish in mind or something you'd like to pick up at the store to bring?

If enough post what they plan on bringing I can make a list for our menu *slurp, drool*

My family and I will be bringing several lbs of ground moose for burgers and a king salmon or 2 for the grill and/or for cedar planking.

Bonzer- moose for burgers/ salmon
Sara- cakes

When my mom was in her 20s, a coworker brought her a 2-lb moose steak. My mom didn't know what to do with it, so she ended up making moose bouguignon out of it. She says it was really tasty. She looking forward to having some moose burgers.

Mom loooooves to bake, so she's probably gonna make several bundt cakes to bring so lots of folks can have some.

Hey! My mom just made moose bouguignon after watching the movie Julie and Julia! big grin

It was nummy and she added bbq sauce to the leftovers for sandwiches.

BOL, Bonzer! My mom says she doesn't really remember exactly what her moose bourguignon tasted like because it was soooo long ago, but she does remember it was good.

My mom also sometimes goes to Fuddrucker's for elk burgers. She says elk is really, really tasty. She also likes buffalo.
