Hi everyone. I'm Baira (Bye- ra). I'm 4 and a half months old and I live in the Czech Republic. My humans have had dogs all their lives but, i'm their first GSP. When they moved to Prague they left their beloved dogs in the UK as they did not know what their living situation was going to be like plus one of the dogs was old and had a medical problem. They found them wonderful new homes and didn't just dump them in a re-homing centre. They have been living here for 16 months now and after the smallest human (only 4 years) was bitten by a dog in May (and because they desperately missed having a dog around) they decided that they would have another dog. After some research my breed was deemed the best for young children and I was lucky enough to be picked.

So, initially I am a family pet. Mum doesn't work so I spend all day with her. We have a big house with a lovely big garden and mum has horses so I get to run around the stables and fields everyday and I get to run along side the horses when they are being riden across miles and miles of open fields. I've only done this a few times so far though so far. I love the smallest human and I am trying to be very gentle with her. She is a little bit wary when I get over excited but she's getting used to me and loves giving me cuddles.

Welcome Baira!

Its sounds like a wonderful life for a GSP pup! Be careful of the horses so you don't get kicked. Be sure and join in all of our conversations and we look forward to reading about your adventures.

Yea, another horse runner! It is a wonderful to get exercise. I love going with the slow horse so I can check out all the good sniffing places. And the fast horse is fun too so I can show how fast I am.

My Mom went to Prague a couple of years ago...really beautiful.
