Last Saturday my husband and I were able to attend the 8th Annual Mid-Atlantic Dachshund Phest in Manassas, VA. It took us about an hour and a half to get there from our home in MD, but it was well worth it. The event was lots of fun and, as you can imagine, we saw every shape, size, color, of doxie that exists! They had weiner races, parades, and booths from several rescue organizations and it was all free. I even got to meet Blixa's foster mother! We have spoken on the phone and emailed each other, but never met in person. That was a real pleasure. smile
