wave A little trivia question...

Have you ever watched how your Papillon climbs stairs?

I think it's interesting that despite being related and being very close in size and weight, Lady and Brady exhibit two completely different styles of climbing the stairs in our house.

Lady climbs stairs using a natural walking gait, moving all four legs in succession (like a trotting horse) as she goes up.

Brady climbs the stairs using sort of a "hop" where he pushes off (and up) to the next stair using his two rear legs while keeping both front legs together.
He also has an interesting technique of getting down the stairs real fast when he's in a hurry. He holds his front paws together and just barely grazes the edge of each step with his front legs as he goes past it. It's really comical to watch him coming down. Since his body blocks the view of his back legs, he almost looks like he's just sliding or "body surfing" down the whole flight of stairs. laugh out loud

Any other multi-dog owners have Paps who use different stair climbing styles?

yes! Bandit and Princeton have different ways of climbing stairs. I think it's because Bandit is bigger, so he can take the stairs at a regular gait going up. Going down, both boys have their butts bouncing fast up and down as they race down the stairs. Looks hilarious!!
