Brutus is about 140lbs. He was a resuce that we took in last November. Great dog, he is 4 years old. My only problem with him is fleas. Im going crazy trying to find something that covers his weight. I didn't have much of a problem until the past month. I have been using frontline plus..tho it only goes up to 132 lbs. I would find a flea here or there..but nothing too bad. Well about a month ago our house caught fire and we had to move out and into a rental until it is fixed. Our dogs couldnt come. Luckily they are staying with a friend. However, now the fleas are worse, despite the monthly flea treatment. We have 2 dogs and I guess the fleas are still bad on the coonhound, Rogue, too...and she has the correct dosage. A few people told me to put two packets at a time on him, someone else said one packet every two weeks. I have looked online for many different things and nothing seems to go higher than 120lbs..except biospot and I will not use that...we think it contributed to the death of another dog of ours a few years back. So what do other saint owners use that wont kill me in cost. At the moment I do not have the money to take them to the vet...I had an issue with a cable company because their cable boxes burned up in the fire..instead of waiting for the insurance company to pay them they helped themselves to my bank account and they drained me dry..so no vets for the doggies for fleas right now.

vets are now recommending the oral along with the topical for heavy flea infestations. Can you call you vet and ask?
