|I learned this week that Pet Rescue Inc in Bloomingdale, IL was still open and operating. I thought they got shut down a year ago when they were investigated for animal cruelty. But they must have a good lawyer, because their case keep getting postponed, they keep appealing all rulings and they still have about 200 animals in their "care". They are a no-kill shelter which NEVER puts an animal down no matter how much they are suffering. They are hoarders and don't seem to have any interest in adopting out any animals. They have no website, no postings on Petfinder and even told some under cover potential adopters that no cats are available to adopt (out of the 100 or so there). You are no allowed to go inside to view the animals, and volunteers are required to sign a non-disclosure agreement. They have a farm in another county that many of the animals go and are never seen again. Several groups have tried shutting them down over the last 30 years, but none have been successful. Since everything is being dragged out, media and publicity seems to be the only thing helping this along. We need all the help we can get! If there is anything you can do to help, please do so!
