Hi all! My mum has noticed a chocolatey-brown colouring on the top of my head that's just appeared recently & she'd like to know if it's sun-bleaching or a permanent colour? Thanks!

Hi! Merle is actually a "mouse" color. the brown ontop of your head is perfectly normal. It is not an indication of fawn in your background, the genes don't work like that. You're either fawn or you not. and if you were a fawn merle, it'd be pretty obvious. your merle color will "shift shades" a little as you grow up and mature. I was born with my merle gray so lite it was almost white. I'm 5 months old now and its faded into a slate gray. I've got some brown starting to show up too, and I'm color pure for harle family for at least 8 generations!
