Hi everyone!

I'm not sure how many of you have seen this, but I think it's something every herding dog needs to watch! They may not be Cattle Dogs, but I can only dream of being as good as them some day!

A few weeks ago a small rabbit got into our fenced back yard and Dexter and Levi went into "herding mode". It was a mazing! They were chasing it in concentric circles with each of them closing the gap with every pass. Levi was leaning in like a Moto GTP bike Racer at 300mph on a hairpin curve! As the circle got tighter, the rabbit made a break for it and Dexter - who was a bit worn out by now- stopped and gave it a swat. The poor little bunny went flipping in the air with his legs splayed out in all directions. Dex ran over to it as I was yelling for him to stop and gently picked it up in his lips and proudly brought the stunned bunny over to me and gently layed it down in front of me. Poor little thing got his bell rung but was otherwise ok. I took him around the fence and let him go and after a minute or two he was gone. Sadly, (and bunnies aren't too high on the intelligence scale) he came back the next day and apparently wasn't so lucky. shock eek
