Ha! I was just thinking about posting this question! You beat me to it smile

My mom likes to rotate between several premium brand foods, so every time I finish the big bag of kibble, next one will be something different and that keeps it interesting for me!

Our holistic vet suggested that I should eat grain-free kibble mixed with a little canned food for extra protein and moisture.

I am almost finished with MERRICK's BEFORE GRAIN BUFFALO and each day for the last week have been getting a little more EVO RED MEAT kibble added to my BG Buffalo because that's next on the menu.

I'm 8 months old now and eat proper breakfast and dinner of dry kibble with couple of table spoons of CANNED TOPPERS mixed in (we switch between MERRICK'S PUPPY PLATE (it has chuncks of meat and peas and carrots and a little rice) and all-meat WELLNESS 95 Beef or Salmon or Turkey or Chicken, and MERRICK'S BG Beef or Buffalo or Salmon or Tripe (mommy hates the smell of tripe but I like it!). For lunch I've been recently getting some RAW BEEF and for a late-night snack a couple of table spoons of PLAIN GOAT MILK YOGURT from Tader Joe's. And sometimes I get a little cooked chicken or beef or a carrot or a piece of apple.

Mom is now wondering if I should also get some additional supplements to help keep ear infections at bay. She is looking into it.

Mom is also wondering if raw chicken giblets and neck with bones might be good for me as a mid-day snack, or is the risk of Salmonella too great... Anyone feeding raw chicken?

Geisha & Rose are on a rotational diet.
Rose is a senior with chicken allergies. She gets Go! Salmon, California Natural Lamb Meal & Rice, Eagle Pack Holistic Select Duck Meal & Oatmeal. She is currently on Wellness super 5 mix Lamb. Rose does well on a digestible protein level above 21%.
Geisha gets Go! Chicken Fruit &Veg, Wellness Core, & Core Ocean. Geisha seems to do well with a quality digestible protein level above 24%.
Both girls get a heaping tsp of canned for topper as well as a squirt of salmon oil. The only suppliment Rose gets is Glucosamine for her left hip which is doing fine. We give them a tidbit of chicken, turkey or beef whenever us humans have some to share.

Prey model raw diet. The only supplement given is fish body oil. Madison does get a liquid joint supplement because she has had a couple knee surgeries.

All three boys are on a rotational diet of mostly grain free foods (because of Gunner's mast cell cancer tumor), currently eating Blue Buffalo Wilderness formula. With that they get a raw egg a piece, yogurt, cottage cheese, or safe leftovers, depending on the day.

Supplement wise all three get fish oil (when raw eggs aren't given) and glucosamine/msm/chondroitin. Gunner gets Berry Balance or cranberry pills depending on the day. Everyone gets Apple Cider Vinegar because I put it in their distilled water (because of Gunner's UTIs) twice a day.

Yes, it's complicated, but their health proves that it works!

Last year I stopped eating and was very lethargic. Mom took me to the vet and we discovered that I have extremely high liver enzymes levels so mom started cooking for me. Then eventually, my furbro Kobe eats the same food too. We eat cooked potatoes, sweet potatoes, fish, chicken, puree vegetables (zuchini, peas, carrots, green beans, Italian flat leaf parsley), coconut milk or olive oil for hair and skin, and ground up egg shells for calcium. We also have boiled eggs 2 times a week. We take supplements that does not contain wheat, corn or soy. Kobe gets beef and other meats occasionally because he does not have liver problems. My liver enzymes have improve but they are still sky high so hopefully with the diet, they will come down soon. thinking
