I've had bumps and bruises from my dogs before, but this one takes the cake. Yesterday the fed ex guy came to the door. I tried to sneak out without letting Molly out the door, but that didn't work. She got out so I grabbed her collar. Somehow I got twisted and my knee buckeled and I fell off the porch, down 2 steps and landed on the pavement, dislocating my knee. I have never imagined pain could be that bad. It was horrible. I told the fed ex guy to call 911. The whole time, I managed to keep holding on to Molly. So after a long, painful ride to the hospital in an ambulance, they put it back in in the ER. I'm home now with a full leg brace and on crutches. I'm a paramedic myself, so for me to call an ambulance, things have to be really bad.
I think Molly knew something bad happened cause when I got home she was scared and shaking. I know it wasn't her fault and I gave her lots of love and she's ok now. Although she's a little scared of the crutches. She has been extra careful around me now.
Anyone else have any stories on injuries caused by your dogs?
