Ok my momma and her boyfriend just got a new puppy becaue they were talking about putting him to sleep because his ankles are a little messed up so he walks a little funny.Momma thinks its from lack of calcium when he was born but she's not sure. Momma also thinks that he might be a Great Dane so momma and her boyfriend are kinda worried that when he grows up that he'll get really big and that he might crush his ankle bones.Does anyone have any ideas about what it could be?

Some Great Dane puppies get HOD (hypertrophic osteodystrophy) or "knuckling over" from nutritional defects. With giant breeds it's smart to feed them less than 23% protein in their diet to avoid this. I think that a visit to the vet and maybe a change in diet could really help this pup and avoid the possibility of problems as he gets older.
