introducing an aussie to swimming...

any ideas on how to introduce my aussie to swimming....didn't care for it last summer too much...gonna try to give it a go around this summer again...advice ??

I know borders and acds tend to like the water but I have not seen a whole lot of aussies playing at the beach. I tried it with mine at the lake last year he stood where the tide touched his paws, quickly steped back and then kept looking at me and back at my border collie- who was happily splashing around- like 'mom why is she in that wet stuff? Thats disgusting!' If I was drowning he would likely jump in but short of that I dont think anything would entice him. Hopefully someone has some tips on how introduce aussies to waterthinking

Aussies don't like to swim because they don't have a rudder (tail). Mine will swim a little if there are no other dogs to show him up and he's very hot. Go in with him.
