Red Rash on Belly

Hi everyone!
My poor little Doxie, Harley, has developed a nasty red rash all over his belly. My hubby is out of town and I can't get him to a vet until later in the week. He doesn't have fleas and I am not sure what he has gotten into. Can anyone recommend some topical soothing something or other to bring down the inflammation?

maybe just a soothing cool bath would help. It will probably go away soon, because as you know doxies tend to rub their bellies and chest on the ground! But if it doesnt, I suggest going to your vet and asking what to do. Hope this helps!wishes
