Hey...I see a few familiar faces! IZZY, EG, BEAN....welcome and welcome to all the other newbies here too! We have one thing in common...our hoomans are neurotic!!!!!!! My mom is going to need valium to go on vacation and leave me, gasp, with my dog trainer. I think my dog trainer can handle me, mom...BOL!!!!!!!

There is only one person in the world my Mom will leave us with, our Grandma. And even then she worries that somehow we will escape Grammy's fenced in yard and be lost forever to thieves or being hit by a car. She calls to check on us every day, even if she's in the Dominican Republic.

She only leaves us maybe one time a year for more than overnight. Mom cries when she drops us off. Well, mainly me, cause I is her precious boy. big grin She just kinda sorta sniffles about Izzy!laugh out loudlaugh out loudlaugh out loud

Yes, Mama does not want us going to a kennel, because we has nevfur been subjected to cages and she is afurraid that we will think we has been abandoned and in doggie prison.

She don't trust anyone else we know to watch us, because GASP, they might actually treat us like DOGS!

Or say something sternly and injure our delicate sensitivities. Or Ernie's atleast. (like Ernie said, it's really all about him!)confused

Yes, it's worse than having kids in terms of going on vacation for our pawrents, cause our MOM is a neurotic LOON.laugh out loud

I'm glad your Mama found someone she sorta trusts, as much as pawsible under her neurotic circumstances. way to go

Thanks for the welcome, Sunny Lee. I've never been called a D.A.M.N. dog before. My sister has. It looks like fun to be one.

Since I know what it's like to be neglected, I don't mind so much the mommy neuroses. Except maybe for the food police part. And, okay, maybe the anti-roaming rules.

We have thick woods behind the yard filled with all kinds of cool stuff, but she won't let me fully explore. She's worried that I'll get torn up by greenbrier or other animals. Or that I'll get shot, stung, bitten, diseased, injured, poisoned, frightened, lost, etc. You know the drill.

I'm a grown dog now. I don't need to run to my mommy for every little thing.

Except maybe when the leaves move right beside me. That's kinda scary.

Oh Bean! You are just so cute! I can see why your mom would be neurotic over you. And you're right...having been neglected, now you live the great life and a neurotic mom is part of the package. Atleast she doesn't wrap you in bubble wrap before she lets you go outside. laugh out loud I have the most awesome yard and a big foxhole out front. Mom won't let me just roam around...she is constantly calling me back to her. Sigh.....I can't resist a treat shrug

oh we have so much in common with you pups!
My mom decided our family is now going camping for vacations...you know why? Cuz she won't go on vacation without us pups.
It works out pretty well fur us, I hafta say!
In cases of dire emergency when she must be away without us, she will only leave us with Gramma. And even then she calls efurry single day to check up on us.

My Momma had to leave me for the first time at Christmas when they went to Seattle. I stayed with Bob, my breeder. Momma cried and cried and cried 'bout leaving me before, during and after it happened. She cried in the car. She cried on the plane. She cried late at night. Then Dadda e-mailed Bob to see how I was doing. Momma figured I'd be grief-stricken, just like her. Instead, Bob said I was having the time of my life, playing with the other doggies and with the grandchildren, running leash-free in Bob's huge, fenced, snowy yard AND sleeping on Bob's bed! laugh out loud

Welcome Zaidie!!!!!!!!!! You sure are a cute Westie! I got to sniff a westie the other day on my walk. I sure liked him a lot! That's great that you had so much fun at your breeders...of course you did! The only thing I like more than my mom and treats are OTHER DOGGIES!!!!! AROOOOOOOooo....I stayed with my dog trainer and her 2 labbies for 3 days last month. I had soooo much fun! I played non-stop; I ate with them, slept with them, rode in the car with them! I think mom better get me a playmate soon! The cats just aren't cutting it!
