Puppy Acne?

Hi everyone!

My pup Caillou is 4 mos old, and is having on and off issues with acne.
Just curious to know everyone elses experience with their AHT's and puppy acne? How long did it take to clear up, and possible treatment options? He gets bathed once a week, and if I notice a dry patch of skin I have a mixture of glycerine and rose water I use to moisterize.

Any feedback is appreciated!

hi Rio had it really bad and only lasted a couple of months but once it goes its gone, just looks terrible. but Rio's were really pussy and red. dont worry i think is normal

It could be acne but yo have to know that acne in AHT is a very rare occurrence ( other than in Xolos or Chinese Crested who have the hardest time with it ).
You might want to try a natural remedy that would rule out another possibility.
Let me explain.
If your dog got shipped there is a high possibility that he might have caught a mite. Most likely a Colembola might. It looks exactly like acne but is actually a parasite.

I would recommend two thing:

Go to the Cedarside web site and order Cedarside, read about it online, it's great stuff and completely natural.

Feed every morning for two weeks in the first meal the following:

2 drops Green Black Walnut Tincture ( little drop bottle from Health food Store or online)
2 drops of Clove Tincture ( same as above)
2 drops of Wormwood ( Artemisia ) Tincture ( same as above)

after symptoms disappeared you can give a maintenance doe of 1 drop each 3 times a week.
That should also take care of Heartworms or any other parasite.
This in combination with the Cedarside should completely replace any chemical drop medication against Fleas or Heartworm.
