I have a male min pin 18 months old. The previous owner was about to give it up to a shelter so I saved him. I was told he was house broke (NOT). I have never had a male that pees on so many things as he does. We take him out frequently but if you don't keep your eyes on him he pees and I mean on everything. He will get on the bed with my grand kids and pee on the pillow or blanket. He has peed on my house shoes. I am telling the truth when I say he pees on EVERYTHING! He will pee on a dog toy, anything in the floor. I have scoled him and put him out when I catch him. Problem is catching him. I have put up a gate so he can't go in the hall so I can keep an eye on him. It is not just at night that he does this. This dog has a lot of issues like he has bitten me 3 times and attempted 3 other times. I blame the previous owner as he was not socialized. He was bought as a grduation present for her daughter but totally ignored him. He got no attention at all and that is why she said she was getting rid of him. I am a firm believer in you don't get rid of an animal because of its flaws. I just don't know what else to do. I hate the thought of a crate. One of my other minnies was kept in one his entire life and was mis treated. No human contact, deprived of food etc. But I have had him now for about 10 years. I have 7 dogs that were all rescued and 3 are minnies. One is a female 4 years old that I love with all my heart and would give my life for. She is so spoiled. This thread is about a different minnie....a boy one.

Are you pad training him? Whether you are or not, go to like PetSmart and get Simple Solution Potty Training Aid. And spray where you want him to go - and if it's outside you may have to repeatedly do it. Is he fixed? Even if he is now, if he didn't have the proper training to start with, he may be marking his territory. Ours will not go into crate at all, since that's where he spent the first 6-1/2 months of his life - almost literally (and if it wasn't a crate, it was a carrier or kennel - he hates them all now).

Ours will go outside every night when we get home from work, but he always "saves" some for his walks. If we don't walk him that night, it's a guarantee that about an hour later he needs to wink
