Do you get your Ragdoll groomed??

Hello -
I let Jaxen get a little matted under his arms. The brush that I purchased for him does not work so well. I am new to Ragdolls, does any one get their kitty professionally groomed? If so, how often? Also, what is the best kind of brush for Ragdolls? There are so many kinds at the pet store. I am also worried about how he will react during the grooming, don't want him sedated, do groomers do that??

practically- perfect in every- way

I use a wide toothed metal comb with teeth that turn so they don't pull and a natural bristle brush although my cat is not as fluffy as yours. I brush Misty every day when she is calm and sleepy or she just plays and chews the brush. Hope this helps.

I brush my boy any time he's in my lap, he just loves getting brushed. I use a natural bristle brush on him. If he does get matts I clip them out carefully and brush him out really well.
