Blixa managed to surprise me yesterday evening - which is quite a feat considering I've seen him do more strange things than anyone can imagine. I was stretched out in a lounge chair snuggling April and my husband was on the sofa with a blanket on his lap when Blixa came out of the kitchen and went over to him. First he sat on the floor staring at my husband for about 30 seconds (apparently sizing up the situation.) Then he went to the big dog bed that is behind where I was sitting, grabbed one of the big fleece blankets, dragged it over to me, and jumped up onto the footrest of my chair. He then proceeded to fling it around until he was covered up to his satisfaction and went to sleep. We were in such awe that we didn't know what to say to each other. What a clever boy!applause

cedric does something similar. he's teeny tiny (weighs about 8 pounds) but has what we call the "blanket of irristability". LOL. it's a queen sized bed comforter that he pulled off a bed and claimed. he'll drag it around by the corner to wherever he wants to be, then throw it around and nose it in the air until it's wadded up enough for him to dive into. it's the craziest thing. happy dance

oh, my dogs just love to be under blankets, sheets, comforters, whatever! We have their dog bed filled with 3 of my blankets and every night we tuck them in under the 2 top blankets. Even on the couch we have 2 blankets, one of which is theirs, and they always go under and cover themselves up! We learned that they just MUST be under the blankets if they're going to sleep!cloud 9

MY ODA IS 16 POUNDS AND IS ALWAY COLD.
HE WILL CRAWL UNDER WHATEVER HE CAN FIND B/C HE IS, OF COURSE, BLIND... ONE DAY HE WAS DIGGING UNDER THINGS AND FOUND THE WARMEST OF ALL BLANKETS... HIS KITTY BROTHER!!! BOY DID I WISH I HAD A CRAMERA THAT DAY!
EVER SINCE THEN WHENEVER HE GETS UP ON THE BED TO TAKE A NAP, MY CAT, JARED, DUTIFULLY TAKES HIS PLACE ON TOP OF ODDIE AS "KITTY COMFORTER"

That is so cute!

Speaking of cats....We have a blanket on the couch that is well known for being "charlies blanket". Charlie is our 5 year old tuxedo cat. Today was Diego's first day home (we adopted him this morning) and after about an hour of sniffing around the house, he decided that the blanket would be the perfect place to curl up..... under the covers of course! He completely burried himself underneith and was asleep for about 5 minutes when Charlie came wandering in from being outside. Charlie decided he wanted to get up there and curl up on his blanket, so he jumped up on the couch and was pussyfooting around to make it comfortable when suddenly... the blanket moved!! He didnt know what to think! He jumped to the top of the couch and watched it for another 10 minutes or so until Diego decided to poke his head out and say hi.

Needless to say, Charlie wasnt impressed that diego had his blankey but he was nice and shared. No hard feelings! Im currently in the process of crocheting a new fuzzy one for diego so Charlie can have his back. LOL
