We use IAMS for large breed proactive health. Tucker is on a diet now so we are using the weight control one for the time being.

We feed raw diet with our dogs (Trouper included) and am very happy with the results - perfect teeth, clean ears, great muscle tone and soft/shiny skin and coat.

We feed our dogs Premium Edge or Blue Buffalo, depending on which brand we can get at the time. Sometimes in the winter we have problems getting the Premium Edge shipped in because we get so much snow here! We are in Northern Michigan so I guess we should be used to the snow by now! We always keep enough of the old food to slowely switch them and it is pretty rare that we have to do it, but it happens. I know a lot of people who feed Exceed Lamb and Rice, which is a SAMS Club brand and is almost the same as Eukanuba Lamb and Rice. They really seem to like it and the price is good. Even though the food is somewhat costly, we have been impressed with both Premium Edge and Blue Buffalo. The foods are low in additives, fillers, and corn while they are high in quality meats.

I like the Lamb and Rice meal for my adults because I know my dogs are getting more meat than with the chicken meals, since chicken is mostly water. When you buy the chicken meal foods they measure the chicken before cooking so it is the #1 ingredient but if they measured it after cooking when all of the water is gone it would end up being much lower on the ingredients list. Lamb and fish do not cook this way so you know that it is truly the first ingredient in the food if it is there on the list. I thought this was very interesting when a dog food dealer (and very good friend of mine) shared this with me.

I just brought Bella home on Monday (the 26th) and she was being fed Puppy Chow Healthy Morsels as well as a half-can of Pedigree wet food in the evening. But I'm slowly switching her over to Nutro Max products. That's what I feed my cats and they love the higher-quality food and I think it'll be better for Bella as she grows up.

We switched a few months ago to a dehydrated raw diet and we LOVE it! Mainly, I feed Force and Embark (because they are grain free), but have tried the entire line and will occasionally mix it with some of the other foods from this company. The company is The Honest Kitchen (www.thehonestkitchen.com). I would definitely be interested in any feedback that you have (good or bad).
Thanks!

My mom feeds me "Chicken Soup for the Pet Lovers Soul - Large Breed Formula" (I know, they really need to work on shortening the name, LOL). It's soooooooooooooo yummy and she says it's really good for me. For treats I get Pro Plan Shredded blend dog food!
