 | |  | | As a social worker I think communities need to look at pet friendly (dogs) shelters. during our freak cold snap this winter I have picked up way too many kids that are homeless and wont go into a shelter because they have a dog. This is a crisis in BC because often these dogs are their companion, protector and will keep them warm. These kids will not take the dogs to the local spca because they are afraid they will not get them back.
