Hi every buddy! I'm Max, I'm 5, and I'm here with my little brofur Charley (he's 3). We live on Florida's northern Gulf coast, in a tall up-on-stilts house on Apalachee Bay. Good thing there's a deck all the way around the house!! That's where me an' Charley run-run-run. We live to go to the beach, where we can swim-swim-swim and dig-dig. I'm Charley. Max furgot to tell you that he's the normal one! ... me, I am purty much a rescue dog, and I act accordingly. Sometimes peoples scare me, a LOT, especially when they loom over me or suddenly bend down toward me with their hands out. I just cringe and bark-bark, though... I would NEVER bite or snap! And sometimes I make mistakes in the house, still (  ), although I'm trying real-real hard to stop that. Just the same, even with all my faults, my mom and dad say I gots the BIGGEST heart of any doggy they know... I have an endless capacity to love! Yay!!!  | | | | |

I hide behind doors an' --LEAP!-- out at Charley as he saunters by... I rub up against Max, an' then when he turns to give me a kiss I --BAP!-- him in the nose with my paw... it's a complete ball living with them!

I am learning to be a therapy cat, and I LOVE going to nursing homes and places like that to visit patients that are nervous or lonely or sad. I can tell Mom just how people are feeling just by how I sit next to the patient I'm visiting.
I'm looking forward to getting my "official" therapy cat vest or scarf soon! And I'm tickled to be part of this group.
