Best vet near Des Moines?

We have a great vet that's located around Marshalltown but since we moved to Grimes that's a bit of a drive for us. We've been reluctant to find a new vet as we liked that he was more of an old-fashioned vet who really knew his stuff and never prescribed unnecessary treatments. Is their any vet like this in the metro area?

On a side note where do you go to get your pet groomed? We've taken A.J. to multiple places but they always seem to cut his tail or pretty crimps off. confused

Sorry we have not been on this post for quite a while. There is a great vet that lives in Ames, but wants to work in Polk City. Look him up. I can not say anything bad about the an. He is wonderful. Dr. Comito, Polk City Veterinary.

I hope I wasn't too late to respond. If I was, I hope you found a great vet!
