Greetings! We recently signed up for Dogster, and I'm so happy to have found a group for dogs like me! I was just diagnosed with EPI last week, after months of losing weight and feeling bad. I started taking enzymes and vitamin B12 shots last Saturday, and I'm feeling much better already. The K9EPIGlobal email group really helped mom figure out what to do and how to use the enzymes best. My TLI score is 0.4.

I'm eating Nature's Variety raw beef/lamb, with a baked potato, yogurt, and Missing Link supplement with each meal. 1 tsp of enzymes does the trick for me - we're using Pancreazyme from the vet, but Mom found this co-op for ordering them cheaper next month.

We didn't even know this disease existed until a couple of weeks ago, but I guess my "GSD" half could be to blame.

I'm glad to meet everyone - and happy to share anything that Mom and I have learned.

Hello Everybody. Nice to see there is a Dogster group for us special pups. We too just recently joined K9 Global EPI group, haven't heard back yet but some new fresh ideas would be great.

I was diagnosed back in October. My TLI score was 6.2 which TAMU decided was a fluke and should be lower because they told mom to feed me prior to being hospitalized for tests, although mom new better to fast me and wish she would have trusted her gut.
So I don't have a real TLI score, maybe they will re-test me since I'm relapsing bad.

We started out with Viokase, then our vet got us a generic powder, Pancrea Powder Plus. I don't think this works because I'm back right where I was last fall. Now I vomit too. So mom is getting worried and taking me back in for further evaluation and treatment.

Right now I eat Purina's Pro Plan Salmon diet. I've been on 4 different dog foods, including prescription. No one seems to work any better than the other.
Mom is trying to figure out a regiment that works for me and currently she is striking out. Prior to being diagnosed with EPI I have been through the song and dance of antibiotics, which never worked, the diarrhea always came back, with blood, and then urinary tract infections I was a mess.

If anyone has tips to help me from going potty number 2 so much that would be helpful and any other dietary tips would be great.

Does anyone have SIBO?
