What is some good indoor exercise for a 16 week old giant? I have been planning on a Giant for years did research , knew they need lots of exercise . So the would destroy the house. I though I had it all figured out. I bought a treadmill. It get really cold here in Pa. So I figured in the winter we would walk on the treadmill.
Now I have been told I should limit the time on the treadmill to 10 minutes a day because of his joints. Ahah what can we do for exercise???
Thanks Ted’s Mom confused

Hi Ted's mom-

I toss the tennis ball down the inside stairs for Trav to run and down to chase it. Another dog owner warned me about Trav's joints, so we just do the stairs thing until he gets tired..

We have outside stairs to get into the house so I assume with all the running up and down he does on them during the day time has not posed any problems with him. We've had dogs here for over 30 years and none of them have had joint probs.. maybe because we have a couple of acres and they build up their muscles/ect running in the field.

When we got Trav, we were told that he will need LOTS of exercise, for instance, to take him with us while jogging (HA! that will never happen..lol.. we don't "do" jogging..lol)

Along with romp filled acreage, Mr & Mrs. Boss play with us upon returning from work.
Play fetch indoors, too. that can be risky if you have breakables. So Giant proof your house if you choose this activity.

Walk us if it is not too hot in the summer.

Plus we go with the Bosses to the bank drive thru.. to get some bones.
