The latest sighting of Cairn Terrier Franz was Monday, but there is still strong hope that he is in the area of:

Carol Loeb
1514 Camino Verde
Walnut Creek, CA 94597

It is a wooded area with plenty of hiding places. This is a dog only about four weeks out of a puppy mill situation, so he is still mostly afraid of people and not used to being outside of a cage. This is going to make him difficult to catch. And he won't know to stay away from cars and other dangers. He hasn't even had time to learn his name. PLEASE alert any friends you have in that area and pray hard for his safety and safe return.

Franz in still missing. He was sighted everyday from Nov. 20 to Nov.24. Since then there have been no sightings and it is believed that someone may have him. He is wheaten (blond, like my sister, Tessa) and was wearing a collar with plenty of id. We hope if someone has him, they will do the right thing and take him to his home or turn him into a shelter as a found dog. Shelters are on the alert for him and a local newspaper colomnist will be writing a human interest story about him. Please be on the lookout for anyone suddenly having a male, wheaten terrier in the Walnut Creek area and report it to a shelter or to the police. Tell them it is a dog from the Colonel Potter Cairn Rescue Network and is being searched for.

Thank you for your help,
Abby

FRANZ HAS BEEN FOUND!!! He was finally caught by a man and his two daughters after he had been hanging around their house on and off. They live about a mile and a half from where Franz got loose. They even gave him a bath while waiting for someone to come get him! How nice is that?! They hadn't seen any of the flyers, but called the phone numbers on Franz's collar. Let that be a lesson to always wear your id tag! God bless this family and God bless you all for caring.
Woofs,
