Mom, I'm still- sleeping...

Hey guys, my name is Patrick and I am a new PSDIT. I officially start tomorrow! Thanks to Dr. Joan with PSDS, my Mommy is well on her way with good information! We have a few ?'s though. My Mommy is a full-time student here in Arizona and has no support (monetarily) from anyone. We are doing all of my training ourselves (since my Mommy has experience with training) so that covers those costs, but...does anyone know where we can get a vest (size Small) for me that is either a hand-me-down (gently used please) or where we can find them for reduced cost? We're not asking for hand-outs, just options. It's tough living off of student loans/grants and she always puts me before herself (food, vaccinations, vet wellness visits, ect.) but money is very tight, especially now with the economy the way it is. If anyone has any ideas, please let us know! Otherwise, we are glad to be a part of such a great community!

Hi. Mommy trained a little guy, Milo, only 12 lbs. and she got his vest through the hearing impaired website pretty reasonable and good quality. We understand that you aren't a Hearing impaired Dog but they changed Milo's patches to "Medical Alert" Service Dog. You could even get a badge with your moomy and yours picture, name and contact info on it, they are really nice too.

The people there are really great and really willing to help.

Hope this helps. Also by the way how mall of a vest do you need, we might have an extra and what color??

I've gotten my vests through SitStay and hearingimpaired.net-cheaper. Also check out ldsleather.com and raspberryfield.com-I do believe they are the cheapest. And their no pocket cordura vest is sold for dog weighing 2lbs-200lbs and it's only 18.50 in tons of colors.
Some people buy plain dog clothes and have them embroidered or add patches. It does not look as professional and makes people think you are fakers.

Can I chew that?

I would recommend the Raspberry Field- their vests are probably the cheapest you'll find. And they're pretty good quality. I have ordered from them before and have been quite happy with their customer service and quality. I even have a small dog vest that has only been used a couple of times that I have available if you are interested.
