Hi my name is Lana and i am 15 weeks old. My pack leader and family loves me very much. I must say i am very spoiled. I follow the pack leader where ever he goes. I lay under him all the time and i love he 3 kids.
Yesterday pack leader had his friend kids over and i played with him having a good time. When i went to lay by my pack leader his friend daughter try to pet me and i snapped at her and went grrrrrrr. The pack leader quickly correct me and i had to go to my crate for time out.
The packleader let me out and i layed under him again. Then the friends son tried to pet me and i snapped at him too.
Is there something wrong with me? My pack leader says that i might be over protective of him and the family. I am very sweet and playful. This has never happen to me b4? Help me understand what happen.

Hi Lana, I sometimes do this too. Usually when im trying to rest and the boy tries to pick me up. I get kinda crabby, but i'm not being mean, just letting him know that its my rest time. Any other time im happy to jump up and give him kisses. However, I did snap at mom the other day, she wanted me to go to bed, while i wanted to stay up and play.

hi lana, I,m sorry your confused we huskies arent normally like that, I,m great with kids my humom has 3 grandchildren ages 5,2,1 and the 2 year old and 1 year old just moved in with us and I,m great with them but..... humoms sisters grandkids i do NOT like i will growl at them and probably bite them if i wasnt in my crate when they come over humom thinks its cuz these kids dont respect animals she has seen them kick at their dog and be mean to it some kids are like that and she thinks i can sense the meanness in her sisters grandkids. now humoms grandkids can play with me, lay on me or whatever and I,m perfectly okay with that. maybe your sensing something about those kids the adults arent picking up on?
