Our Buckley is a little over a year old now and his hair was constantly in his face. I have tried a topknot for Buckley's hair in the eye problem but he just shakes it out. Since we have no plans to show Buckley, I got out my scissors and cut about an inch of "eyebows" above his eyes. The cut hair is about a1 inch long above each eye. The cut hair stands up, looking very cute and expressive, while performing the task of acting like a "fence" to keep the remaining "bangs" out of his eyes. Since we have done this we notice Buckley's reaction time while playing is so much faster. He is also acting happier and more playful. I love the way Buckley looks and his apearance still has the long shaggy sides and ears that are typical of the breed. Since I have discovered this little hair cutting technique I have been wanting to share it with others that might be interested. (the picture does not reflect the hair trim, he was younger then)

We had Cooper's hair cut around the eyes by a groomer. We were having the same problem with the hair in the hair ties falling out and always covering his eyes. I think it looks cute and he seems to be happy that he can see. (our picture is pre-hair cut as well)
