Hi all! Just wondering if anyone has experience with trainers/behaviorists in the area and could recommend one, and maybe share a little about how they worked and what you liked about them? I'm looking for more than just basic obedience- sit, stay, etc. as I have a large, powerful dog that is starting to show serious signs of aggression and I need someone that can help address his specific issues ASAP.

It's tough sometimes to weed through all the choices as there are so many out there and they all have slightly different methods and philosophies- clicker training, positive reinforcement only, etc. and they all claim to be better than all the others. I just want to find the best match for my dog.

Thanks in advance for any help!

You may consider going to a big training expo at The triple crown academy Jan 31. The facility itself is said to be very good, but dealing with aggression myself, I would see the recommended behaviorist. You will have an opportuntiy to meet some of the countries best trainers, like Karen Pryor.

Hi
I am a trainer with 25 years experience and I have worked in the area for many years....
I would recommend Janice Patton as she has always been great with any clients I have sent her.
She has many years experience and I would trust her with my dogs.
