I don't know if you've heard about Ratchet and Sgt. Gwen Beberg? Gwen has been stationed in Iraq (15 months longer than she was originally told she'd be there), and rescued a pup from a burning trash pile. As a result, Gwen and Ratchet have become family. Now the Army is telling Gwen she can't send Ratchet home to her parents. If Ratchet stays, he faces certain death -- either by the Army, or the Iraqis on the streets, or both as a victim of war.
There are 2 sites where you can help:
1) sign the petition to grant Ratchet clemency and get him home. This is a time sensitive issue: the organization which flies these pets home is there this week, and Ratchet MUST make it out on this transport, or he is doomed.

2) Baghdad Pups has a "wish list" of items they need. Besides making a donation ourselves, my family has contacted our vet office asking if they would donate some of the meds or other items.
